Embedding is when you take something like a video, image, or social media post and place it right inside a webpage or app—so people can see it or play it without having to leave the page. For example, if you’re reading an article and there’s a YouTube video you can watch right there in the middle of the page, that video is embedded.

Think of embedding like putting a picture frame into a scrapbook. Instead of just writing about a memory, you can show the actual photo right there on the page. It keeps everything in one place, making it easier and more enjoyable to look at.
