An Internet Service Provider, or ISP, is the company that gives you access to the internet. You pay them a monthly fee so you can go online from your home or mobile device. They connect your home to the internet through a cable, phone line, or wireless signal. Common ISPs include companies like Comcast, AT&T, Spectrum, or Verizon.
Think of an ISP like the company that runs power lines to your house. They don’t create the electricity (or in this case, the websites), but they deliver it to your home so you can use it whenever you want.
