A pixel is like a tiny dot that helps make up the pictures you see on your phone, computer, or TV. Think of it as the smallest part of an image, like a piece of a jigsaw puzzle. When you put lots of these tiny dots (or puzzle pieces) together, they create the whole picture.
The more dots (or pixels) you have, the clearer and sharper the image will be. We usually measure this as “pixels per inch” (PPI) or “dots per inch” (DPI), but you don’t need to worry about that too much. All you really need to know is that pixels help make everything you see on a screen look the way it does.
Understanding how they work can be helpful when you’re editing photos or adjusting the size of images for different devices.
So, if you think of a pixel as a tiny puzzle piece, just know that lots of these pieces work together to show you the images on your screen!
