Only one is real. I know this because I took it myself.
My photo is of a New England Clambake taken at a lobster shack along the Maine coast.
The other 3 images are AI-generated. I created them using Ideogram.ai and ChatGPT.
Which one do you think is the real image? See the answer below!
The real image of the New England Clambake is:

Some clues that give away the AI images:
🦞 1. Real-World Messiness
Real (Image #2): The plate isn’t perfectly styled. Some clams are open, some are still tightly closed, some are cracked. The food feels served — not staged.
AIArtificial Intelligence (AI) is basically when computers get smart—really smart. Imagine if your c... More (Images #1, #3, #4):
In #1, the lobster and clams look too polished and overly bright.
In #3, the clams are suspiciously uniform, almost like identical copies pasted around the plate. In #4, the clams have the “meat” on both sides in some of them. (Which would be awesome if they came that way in real-life, but sadly we only get one clam per shell.)
🌽 2. Background Randomness
Real: Image #2 shows a casual seafood shack vibe: a messy background with condiments, napkins, a yellow pepper on the table. It’s cluttered in a believable, real-life way.
AI:
#1 and #4 have backgrounds that are too neat, clean, or oddly staged.
#3’s background looks stiff, with repeated or blurry elements typical of AI-created dining scenes.
🦞 3. The Lobster Itself
Real: In #2, the lobster’s shell is realistically textured — a little uneven, naturally bumpy, and not overly glossy.
AI: In #1, #3, and #4, the lobsters often look too shiny and plastic-like — almost like toy models.
In #3 especially, the lobsters are unnaturally smooth and seem airbrushed.
In #4, the highlights on the lobster shell are too perfect, making it look fake.
