Troll

A troll is someone who intentionally causes trouble online by being disruptive or provocative, often to get an emotional reaction or start conflicts. They may post offensive comments, attack others, spread false information, or derail discussions just to create chaos.

Trolls can be found anywhere online—social media, forums, chat rooms, or comment sections. Some trolls do it for attention or fun, while others have harmful motives, like harassment or promoting extreme ideas.

To deal with trolls, moderators and community members might enforce rules, ban offenders, or ignore them to reduce their impact on the conversation.
