Have you ever experienced that panic-inducing moment when you lose something important? Maybe it’s your keys (look in the drawer… no, the other one), your glasses (did you check on top of your head?), or the remote control (which, let’s face it, is probably hiding under the couch cushions again).

An online bookmark in a browser is like a digital sticky note you can use to save and quickly find your favorite websites.
When you bookmark a page, it’s like telling your browser, “Hey, remember this website for me!”
Later, you can just click on the bookmark to go straight to that page without having to search for it again. It’s a simple way to keep track of sites you want to visit again.
In this guide, I’ll show you how to add a bookmark in GoogleGoogle is a multinational technology company known for its internet-related products and services, i... More Chrome, so you’ll never have to worry about losing your favorite web discoveries again.
So, if you’re ready to learn the arcane art of bookmark creation, grab your thinking cap, put on your favorite pair of fuzzy slippers, and let’s dive in!
First things first, you need a webpage. Any page will do. Maybe you’re reading an article about how to train your goldfish to fetch the morning paper (good luck with that), or perhaps you’ve stumbled upon a site selling glow-in-the-dark garden gnomes. Whatever floats your boat.

Yes, click it like your life depends on it. This is the magical button that turns chaos into order, or at least keeps you from yelling “Where was that page?!” every ten minutes.
Congrats, you just created your first bookmark!
After clicking the star, you might be done. But you have some more options if you want to live dangerously and take things to the next level.
To do this, you click on “Edit.”
Here, you can change the bookmark’s name to something you’ll actually remember. Instead of “Article_12345.html,” maybe call it “How to Train Goldfish” or “Gnome Shopping Spree.”
You can also choose a folder to store this bookmark in, like “Stuff I’ll Actually Read” or “Stuff I’ll Forget About.”
Finally, after all this excitement, click “Done.”
That’s it. You’ve added a bookmark.
Take a moment to bask in your achievement. You’ve just conquered a small part of the internet, and now you can find your way back to that crucial page whenever you need it.
Congratulations! You are now a bookmarking pro.
But right about now, you might be thinking, “That’s great, but how the heck do I find the bookmark I just created when I actually need it?”
Excellent question. Here’s the answer:
First, you need to open Google Chrome. This might seem obvious, but sometimes the obvious is the most challenging part.
So, locate that colorful beach ball icon and click it with all the determination of a person who’s just remembered where they hid their secret stash of chocolate
Next, direct your attention to the upper right corner of the screen. There, you’ll see three vertical dots. These dots are like a secret doorway into the hidden realm of browser functions. Click them and prepare to be amazed.
A menu will appear, offering you many choices, most of which you will ignore. Hover over the word “Bookmarks and lists.”
This is where things get interesting. As you hover, another menu will pop out like one of those novelty snakes from a can.
Now, simply scrollScrolling is a fundamental action used to navigate through content on digital devices, such as compu... More through your list until you find the bookmark you’re looking for. (If you’ve got tons of bookmarks, you may need to scroll down and hover over “Other bookmarks” to find the one you’re looking for.)
Once you find the bookmark you want, click on it, and voilà! You’re transported back to that wonderful webpage you marked for future you.
It’s like a reunion with an old friend, except this friend is a webpage and not someone who’s going to ask you for money.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully found your bookmark. Take a deep breath and enjoy the satisfaction of knowing you can navigate the internet with the skill of a seasoned explorer.
Now, go forth and bookmark more pages, secure in the knowledge that you can always find your way back.
If you want to make things even easier next time, consider using the Bookmarks Bar. This is a handy little toolbar that sits just below the address bar and displays your favorite bookmarks for quick access.
To show the Bookmarks Bar, go back to those three dots, select “Bookmarks and lists,” and then choose “Show bookmarks bar.” Now your bookmarks are just a click away!
For those who are more adventurous (or just have a lot of bookmarks), there’s another option: the Bookmark Manager.
Click on “Bookmark manager,” and a new tab will open, displaying a library of all your bookmarks. It’s like a grand hall filled with your digital treasures, organized in folders and subfolders, just waiting to be rediscovered.
And there you have it, folks – the ultimate guide to creating and finding bookmarks in Google Chrome.
Armed with this knowledge, you can now fearlessly explore the vast expanse of the internet, secure in the knowledge that you can always find your way back to your favorite sites.
Happy browsing, my friends!
