An end user is simply the person who actually uses a product or piece of technology – that’s you!
Think of it this way: when a company makes a smartphone, the engineers design it, factory workers build it, and store employees sell it. But you’re the end user – the person who takes it home and uses it to call family, check the weather, or read the news.
The same goes for websites and apps. The programmers who create them aren’t the end users – you are, when you check your bank balance online or stream a movie.
Why does this matter? Good companies design their technology with you in mind, making things easy to understand and simple to use. So whenever you hear “end user,” just remember: that’s tech-speak for “the regular person actually using this thing.”
